Lanakila Pacific’s second annual INSPO! fundraiser brought the community together for a day of fun, creativity, and shared purpose. Held on April 12 at Kaimuki Middle School, this year’s event embraced the theme of “Building Connections Piece by Piece”, with more local participation and a true sense of togetherness.
Families and friends enjoyed live entertainment, exciting games, and a bustling marketplace filled with local crafts and treats. Highlights included lively taiko drumming with audience participation, a hula performance, and local singers who kept the energy high throughout the day. The Lanakila Fun Zone offered something for everyone—from a 16-foot inflatable slide to classic carnival games.
This year’s event felt especially rooted in the community, with 60 student and parent volunteers from Kaimuki Middle School helping to bring it all together. Their support helped ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for everyone who attended.
“INSPO! is a celebration of community spirit and creativity, showcasing the collective impact of Lanakila Pacific’s mission to empower lives and build independence,” said Rona Yagi Fukumoto, President and CEO of Lanakila Pacific. “As we continue building connections piece by piece, this event reminds us of the strength and support found in our community.”
Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors and other supporters, INSPO! raised vital funds for Lanakila Pacific’s programs. The day was a celebration of the connections that make our community strong. “We can’t wait to do it again,” said Laurie Hara, Lanakila Pacific’s Director of Marketing & Development. “Seeing everyone come together, have fun, and support a great cause was truly inspiring.”
