In December, Lanakila Kitchen and Lanakila Teaching & Learning Center brought the spirit of the holiday season to life at the annual Hawaii Government Employees Association (HGEA) Holiday Craft Fair held in downtown Honolulu.
The air was filled with excitement as Lanakila Kitchen showcased their ono scones, including the new crowd-favorite Ube Scone, and their famous Everything Cookie. The response of the crowd was overwhelming, with most of the baked goods selling out quickly.
Our Wahiawa and Bachelot Lanakila Teaching & Learning participants were excited to see firsthand the joy their crafts brought to others. Their proudly displayed Christmas-themed creations and handcrafted dish gardens were welcomed by many happy customers and visitors.
For Lanakila Pacific. the event was more than just a craft fair, it was an opportunity for our participants to connect and engage with the community, creating a sense of purpose and belonging.
At the end of the two-day event, the hard work and dedication of the Lanakila Pacific staff and participants not only raised proceeds but also highlighted the organization’s mission to build independence and improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive, physical, social, or age-related challenges. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and supported this event, showcasing the power of inclusive communities and the spirit of giving. Together, we continue to inspire and thrive, one heartfelt moment at a time.
