On March 7, Lanakila Pacific Employment Services hosted its 2025 graduation ceremony celebrating the remarkable achievements of 30 participants who successfully completed eight weeks of extensive job training and real-life paid work experience. Fifteen of the 30 graduates participated in the ceremony.
Donned in their caps and gowns, the graduates were presented with a certificate of achievement by Lanakila Pacific President & CEO Rona Yagi Fukumoto, honoring their perseverance and hard work. Surrounded by family, friends, and peers, each graduate beamed with self-confidence and pride in all that they’ve accomplished – now ready to embark on the next chapter of their professional journeys.
Lanakila Pacific Employment Services’ provided job-readiness classes, training sessions, and real work experiences with local businesses for participants with a disability to hone social and vocational skills in roles that best suit their interests and needs. Coupled with individualized plans and coaching to learn how to adapt to the workplace, these life-changing experiences will play a key role in shaping their future on the road to independence.
