For 18 years, The Good Table has given Hawaii’s restaurant community a way to turn what it does best into support for kupuna. Each September, participating chefs and restaurants welcome guests for specially curated dining experiences that benefit Lanakila Pacific Meals on Wheels and the nutritious meals, regular check-ins and connection it provides.

This year’s sold-out event, taking place Sept. 22-24, brings together restaurants, sponsors, businesses and supporters while marking another milestone: 55 years of Lanakila Pacific Meals on Wheels.

The Good Table supports Oahu’s only island-wide meal delivery program for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Each week, Lanakila Pacific Meals on Wheels delivers more than 4,000 meals to over 900 homebound people, helping them stay healthy, connected and living at home.

Chef Alan Wong has helped lead The Good Table since its beginning, bringing his experience in Hawaii’s restaurant industry to the event and encouraging fellow chefs and restaurants to support kupuna. Over the years, that circle of support has grown,  shaping The Good Table into a distinctive alternative to a traditional gala – one centered on intimate dining, meaningful connection and a shared commitment to kupuna. Mahalo to all who have made this tradition possible and helped carry its impact from the table into the community.
